Nicole & Jeff

I would have expected nothing less creative or artistic from Nicole and Jeff's wedding, the owners of their own AD agency Burghardt + Dore.

Their colorful invitations brought friends and family to Carmel Presbyterian Church, where they were met with arms full of colorful Gerber daisies designed by noted florist Christine Cater. Before the ceremony the entire wedding party marched down Carmel's Ocean Avenue singing "Going to the Chapel".

Jeff cast adoring eyes at Nicole as she walked down the aisle in her stunning gown and punchy Manolo Blahnik Gilded shoes.

After the ceremony everyone headed to the historic Pine Inn where they were presented with a Mediterranean buffet by Il Fornaio.

2010 US Open Merchandise Tent

Here's a sneak peek of the merchandising tent for the 2010 US Open golf tournament at Pebble Beach. The 4x8 foot photographs I shot brilliantly appoint the football field size pavilion.

I Love You Kate From A-Z

Renee and I could not be more pleased with our daughter's first year at Carmel River School. Michelle DiGirolamo (Mrs. D) is truly a gifted teacher and we will miss her. Included is something that I was asked to create for Kate's yearbook. To see all of her classmates click on the link below. Good luck, and hope to see you all next year.

Going to the Dogs

Animal Friends Rescue Project (AFRP) is a non profit organization that is dedicated to curbing the overpopulation of cats and dogs, as well as finding homes for the animals. The Kitchen Studio in Seaside hosted a benefit party last weekend in order to help raise money and awareness for AFRP.

It was entertaining to shoot these animated pooches. Chef Brandon Miller gave a treat making demo that had the 4 legged attendees drooling, and the Cornerstone Wellness Center did a Pet BioFeedback Therapy demo. For the two legged friends there were relaxing mini massages by Quail Lodge Resort & Spa, high tea by Paradise Catering, and Artisan wine by Ventana Vineyards.

If you can, please donate to AFRP, anything will help. Or even better, adopt one of these wonderful animals!

Isabel Allende

I had the honor of photographing the New York Times best selling author Isabel Allende for Venice Magazine. She was sweet and charming and her husband William was nice enough to hold the reflector for me.

Allende, whose works sometimes contain aspects of the "magic realist" tradition, is one of the best-known women writers in Latin America. She is largely famous for novels such as The House of the Spirits (1982) and City of the Beasts (2002), which have been commercially very successful. Allende has been described as "the world’s most widely read Spanish-language author."

Check your local book store for her most recent novel The Island Beneath the Sea (2010).
