Adobe visits Scott Campbell Photography

We were honored to be visited by Adobe today to give them feedback on our workflow. We gave them some ideas on shortcuts and direction for future versions of Adobe products, such as Lightroom & Photoshop. GuestLife Monterey Bay Magazine | Cover Shot & More

I was in Borders Bookstore the other day walking by the magazine racks and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I did a slight double-take and realized, yeah that is one of my photographs on the cover of GuestLife Monterey Bay magazine. I remember submitting images when they contacted me but never heard anything. Flipping through the current issue more and more images seemed familiar - check it out to see a variety of work I have shot over the years.

Critics Choice Dining Guide | Commercial Food Photography

Many of you know me for my wedding photography, or portrait photography, but as long as I can remember I have been photographing commercial jobs and especially food. I have been long time friends with my clients at Critics Choice Dining Guide. I'm sure you have seen the Dining Guide many places around the Monterey Bay area - it's the comprehensive guide to the best places to eat in Monterey, Carmel, Carmel Valley and Pacific Grove. Fashion Shoot for Pebble Beach Spa

Pebble Beach is our best commercial client and I enjoy working for them. After scouting the Spa a couple of days ago we had our model all lined up and went to work photographing at the Pebble Beach Spa for the cover of their new brochure. Our model Sara is such a professional and a pleasure to work with. We first met when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed at Clint Eastwood's Golf Club, Tehama. Here are a few of the shots I liked:









The right angle inside involved me getting into the hot tub - the sacrifices I have to make...

Monterey Bridal Fair 2009

Well, yesterday was the Monterey Bridal Fair 2009. It was definately a big turnout, for a lot of great vendors, venues and many brides-to-be. Haven Weddings is a magazine published by the Monterey County Herald and I was lucky to have my images full page over the inside cover for an article they wrote about Ericka Engelman Couture. If you haven't seen Ericka's elegant wedding dresses by now check them out:

We had a terrific booth setup with a very lounge-like feel, received many compliments about it and had a chance to talk to a lot of brides-to-be. Also, we will be posting the winner of our Engagement Sitting Give-Away very soon, so check back to see who the big winner is.

Happy Holidays & 2008 Best Clicks

As the year winds down I wanted to review all the weddings I've shot in 2008. I have been lucky to work with: the best venues on the Monterey Peninsula, great coordinators, and a lot of other talented vendors in the wedding industry. Photography has been good to me this year and has led me to work in San Francisco, Carmel, Monterey, Nantucket and even as far as the Galapagos Islands - and I am fortunate to have done so. Please let me thank everyone, our clients, venues, coordinators and other vendors for making this year a success.
